Having trained part time for six years in the late 90s while still raising my family, I now have the luxury and freedom of my own home studio. Working across different mediums and often mixing them, paintings take on their own presence and can lead in many directions. I enjoy what I call a controlled spontenaity where you never know quite how the finished product will look. Art over the years has been a place of refuge , mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When focused there's no space for anything else and that's when magic happens, serendipidous accidents.
